Half Mile Radius

Half Mile Radius is a half-American, half-Taiwanese band based in Tainan/Taipei, Taiwan. Formed in 2005 by singer/guitarist Dan Harrington and drummer Brian Giles, their sound got a decidedly melodic upgrade with the addition of guitarist B.C. Kuo in 2007. They recorded their first CD in early 2009 and have been touring Taiwan ever since. With the addition of new bass player Tony Liu in late 2009, their sound has matured into a stable mix of dark and bright, melodic and crunchy.

With influences including classic rock bands such as The Doors, Led Zeppelin, and the Beatles, as well as modern artists like The White Stripes, The Smashing Pumpkins, John Frusciante, and Radiohead, Half Mile Radius has developed a unique sound characterized by melodic guitar lines and pulsing drum beats. They expect to record their first full-length CD in the summer of 2010, with plans to tour the USA in the following winter.

Half Mile Radius是一個由兩個美國人和兩個台灣人組成的樂團，
樂團成員目前分別住在台北和台南兩地。最初在2005年由主唱兼吉 他手Dan Harrington和鼓手Brian Giles組成，在2007由於吉他手大酷的加入，決定性的在旋律性上升級了樂團的創作。
在2009年初錄製了他們的第一張CD並且開 始在台灣各地巡迴演出。2009年尾由於新bass手Tony的加入，樂團的風格開始融合成熟並走向一種同時具有黑暗和明亮，旋律性和節 奏性的融合。

樂團受到的影響包括The Doors、The Led Zeppelin、 The beatles這些經典搖滾樂團，也包括一些現代的樂手如The White Stripes、The Smashing Pumpkins、John Frusciante, 、Radiohead。Half Mile Radius發展出一種優美旋律吉他聲線和強烈衝擊鼓拍所構成的獨特聲線。預計在2010年暑假可以錄製第一張的完整
長度的專輯，並且計畫在2010年冬天在美國各地巡迴演出

Mr.Dirty–自我感覺良好天團
成軍於2006年的後龐克樂隊，主要樂風融合老式龐克跟油漬搖滾， 近乎Single Chord的旋律編曲衍生出簡單自然的力量，呢喃模糊的無厘頭歌詞充滿反問與自省的歇斯底里， 2010年的骯髒先生加入了酒膽十足的低音吉他手以三人完整編制出現，除了保有一貫的噪音爆炸風格外更多了些成熟穩定與紮實力道,衝撞瘋狂的油漬酒氣場面與黑色骯髒的下流幽默即將再度復活，為南台灣最具指標性的暴民樂隊！！！
Mr. Dirty began playing characteristically noisy and befuddled punk/garage music in 2006 as a two piece, with Jay, the legendary Tainan-based Mr. Dirty himself, belting out vocals and struggling through endless broken guitar strings. With the addition of American drummer Brian in 2008 and the newly minted A-Ren on bass, the sound has matured into a somewhat more polished form of Dirty. The catchy yet unintelligible lyrics, combined with the simple guitar chords and heavy-handed drums, give Mr. Dirty a unique sound. The addition of several new songs allows for a full half-hour set of mud, sweat, and beers.

The Okay Cars

We are Brad Quinn (guitar/vocal/effects) and Lars Berry (microKorg, drum machines, effects, samples). Both long term residents of Taiwan, we formed about 6 months ago and have been slowly building sounds, practicing and recording. Pop-informed, noise aspiring and sort rooted in rainy west coast Canada/East coast Taiwan, hopefully danceable reverb-beaten delay. Ya.
